「ジンジャー」は「生姜（しょうが）」の英名。インド地方原産、温帯・熱帯アジア等に約50種が分布するショウガ科ヘディキウム属の半耐寒性多年草

今回紹介するジンジャー（ジンジャーリリー）は、ショウガ（生姜）とは異なります。ジンジャーは、花を楽しむ鑑賞用の品種として江戸時代に日本に持ち込まれたもので、食用としての利用はできません。

晩夏から秋にかけて、背の高い大きな花が咲き、色は白、オレンジ色などがあります。

　白花はベーシックで、　「花縮砂（はなしゅくしゃ）」

　オレンジ色の花は「肉色縮砂　（にくいろしゅくしゃ）」

　黄色は「黄花縮砂（きばなしゅくしゃ）」

　と呼ばれ、背が高く、白花を改良して作られたそうです。

　「ジンジャー」の花言葉は「豊かな心」「慕われる愛」

美しく香りのよい花を咲かせて、熱帯では森の中や川沿い、湿地帯などで多く群生します。夏のじめじめした暑さの中、トロピカルな気分が味わえる！とのことだそうです。

教会の駐輪所あたりにあるのを深谷先生が撮影してくれました。ここが復興協会のトロピカルスポットです。。と言いたいところですが、ジンジャーの向かい側にある栃の木からは、実が次々と落ちてきていて、秋に入った山の雰囲気も始まりつつあります。

蝉もまだ鳴いてたりするし季節感？が入り乱れて不思議な感じになっていますよ～。

ところで、ブログの更新が週末になってしまいました。なんとパソコン😱がブラックアウトしてしまい、いろいろできないことやトラブルが多発、困りました～（泣）

先週あたりパソコンから怪しげな音がするな～と思いつつもだましだまし使っていたら、ある時突然真っ暗、ブーンという音のみになってしまいました。修理？買い替え？仕事は？何とかしなくては！と焦ったうえでの決断、、ろくなことが起きなかったです…

　しかしながら私は主につながる者です、日常に起こる様々な出来事も主からくるものと信じ、心静かにどうすればよいのだろう。。と祈りましたところ、心に思いが与えられ、思いもよらないことが叶えられ無事こうして更新することもできています💝

　トラブルも焦ったことも、心がざわついてどうしようもなかったことも非常にたくさんありますが、主に心を明け渡して祈ると、心静かになりどうしようもなかったことに道が与えられるそんな経験をしています。

トラブルが起きた時どのようにやりすごしていますか？

明日は合同記念礼拝です。教会の信仰の大先輩方と共に礼拝にあずかる日。懐かしい方々を思い祈りを捧げます。たくさんの方が教会と納骨堂に訪れます。恵み豊かな日となりますように。。。

"Ginger" is the English name for "生姜" (shōga), which originates from the Indian subcontinent. It is a semi-hardy perennial herb from the Zingiberaceae family, with about 50 species found in temperate and tropical regions of Asia.

The ginger (Ginger Lily) that I am introducing this time is different from edible ginger (shōga). Ginger is an ornamental variety brought to Japan during the Edo period for its flowers, and it is not used for culinary purposes.

From late summer to autumn, tall, large flowers bloom, and their colors include white and orange.

The white variety is called “花縮砂 (Hana-shukusha)”, which is basic, while the orange variety is called “肉色縮砂 (Niku-iro-shukusha)”, and the yellow variety is called “黄花縮砂 (Ki-bana-shukusha)”. The flowers are tall, and the orange variety was developed by improving the white-flowered one.

The flower language (floral symbolism) of “ginger” is “a rich heart” and “beloved love.”

Beautiful and fragrant flowers bloom, and in tropical regions, ginger lilies often grow in clusters in forests, along rivers, and in wetlands. You can experience a tropical mood in the midst of the humid summer heat!

It was photographed by Pastor Fukaya at the bicycle parking lot near the church. This is the Tropical Spot of the Revival Association... or so I’d like to say, but across from the ginger, fruits are falling one after another from the chestnut tree, and the atmosphere of autumn is starting to set in.

The cicadas are still chirping, creating a strange mix of seasons—it’s a bit surreal.

By the way, the blog update got delayed until the weekend. My computer 😱 suddenly blacked out, and I ran into a lot of problems and troubles, which made things difficult for me (crying face).

Around last week, I had noticed some strange sounds coming from my computer, but I was trying to use it anyway. Then, one day, it suddenly went dark, and the only thing I heard was a buzzing sound. Repair? Replacement? What about work? I had to make a decision in a rush... and nothing good happened in the process…

However, I am someone who stays connected with the Lord. I believe that everything that happens in daily life comes from Him. So, I calmly prayed, asking how I should handle the situation. In the end, I received a sense of peace, and something unexpected worked out, allowing me to update the blog like this 💝.

There have been many moments of trouble, times when I was panicked, and times when my heart was in turmoil and I didn’t know what to do. But I’ve experienced that when I surrender my heart to the Lord and pray, peace comes, and a way opens up in what seemed impossible.

How do you handle troubles when they arise?

Tomorrow is the joint commemorative service. It’s a day to worship with the senior members of the church. I’ll be thinking of and praying for the people I’ve missed. Many will visit the church and the columbarium. May it be a day full of grace...
